Gas Works Park ruins

Gas Works Park is a cool place. The park is a former industrial site that still has remains of the Coal Gasification Plant that last operated over 50 years ago

Gas Works Park Sledding 2

I was snowed in for a few days this week. I didn\’t even try getting my car out of the driveway for nearly a week. Seattle plows the main streets only and once it is compacted I don\’t think the plows do much since they have rubber blades and don\’t use salt. The walk down the hill to Gas Works Park was nice. It was nice to see people out walking for a change, often in the street because it was the easiest place to walk.

Gas Works Park Sledding

More sledding at gas works park with the Aurora Bridge and shipyard in the background.

Seattle snow from my window

I took a snow day today. Trying to drive in this mess just isn’t worth it. It’s a benefit and a bit of a curse that I can work anywhere my laptop has power.

Delia watches the outside world

Delia loves the snow. She just can’t get enough of it.

CD mess

I’m almost finished with the task of ripping all of my cd’s. It has been fun revisiting music that I had forgotten about. I’m also making the big commitment of combining my wife’s cd collection with my own. The overlap seems to be the high school years, Pearl Jam, Cranberries, Depeche Mode, and Tori Amos. It’s time for that backup drive because I really don’t want to rip these again. This pile is just the tip of the iceberg.
